UK’s Shorts Int’l Launches 24 Hour Shorts Channel in U.S. (indieWIRE)

London-based shorts entertainment company, Shorts International, unveiled the launch of Shots HD on AT&T U-verse TV, a channel dedicated to short movies. Shorts HD will broadcast 24-hours a day in 30-60 minute blocks.

Mediaset and RAI will each own about 48 percent of the new company, TivuSat, and Telecom Italia Media SpA will hold 3.5 percent, according to a statement handed out at a presentation in Rome today. Customers will need a satellite dish, decoder and smart card to view the otherwise free content.
