Cable industry woes are heading for new lows as programming fees take the stage.Mediacom cable viewers are once again wondering if Fox Network favorites - and certain high-profile football games - are in their future. You're just caught in a brawl between two media ...over the fee for transmitting the media giant's local TV channels as well as its cable networks. Don't panic if you're watching Fox's New Year's Eve special and the screen goes black moments before host Carmen Electra finishes screaming "Happy New Year." There's nothing wrong with your TV. Mediacom Communications Corp., which serves communities outside Peoria such as Chillicothe, Germantown Hills and Metamora, is at odds with the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which owns WYZZ-TV, the Fox outlet for Peoria and Bloomington.
